Hoax dan Spyware


Dewasa ini, sering sekali masyarakat Indonesia menyebut kata “Hoax”. Sebenarnya, apa sih arti hoax itu?

Menurut KBBI, hoax yang di-Bahasa Indonesia-kan menjadi hoaks yaitu berita bohong. Sedangkan, menurut ahli komunikasi dari Universitas Indonesia Professor Muhammad Alwi Dahlan menjelaskan hoax merupakan kabar bohong yang sudah direncanakan oleh penyebarnya. Mantan mentri penerangan tersebut menjelaskan bahwa hoax sengaja disebarkan untuk mengarahkan orang ke arah yang tidak benar.

Konsekuensi membuat dan menyebarkan berita hoax itu fatal loh, yaitu dapat membuat masyarakat menjadi curiga dan bahkan membenci kelompok tertentu, menyusahkan atau bahkan menyakiti secara fisik orang yang tidak bersalah, memberikan informasi yang salah kepada pembuat kebijaksanaan

Menyebalkan bukan akibat dari membuat & menyebarkan berita hoax? Lalu, jika kita memang benci apa saja sih kiat-kiat untuk memerangi berita hoax? Inilah beberapa usaha yang dapat kita lakukan untuk memerangi berita hoax..
  • ·         Rutinlah membaca berita dari media yang terpercaya dan dihormati.
  • ·         Orang yang paling rentan hoax adalah orang yang jarang mengonsumsi berita.
  • ·         Bacalah seteliti mungkin berita yang diterima.
  • ·  Jangan share artikel/foto/pesan berantai tanpa membaca sepenuhnya dan yakin akan kebenarannya.


Selanjutnya, Saya akan membahas tentang spyware. Mungkin bagi Anda yang jarang berkecimpung dalam dunia komputer jarang mendengar kata ini, maka dari itu yuk baca penjelasan dibawah ini.
Spyware adalah software atau perangkat lunak yang dapat menginstal sendiri dalam sistem komputer untuk mencuri data atau memantau pengguna komputer tersebut. Sebenarnya spyware dibuat oleh perusahaan resmi untuk layanan khusus. Tetapi saat ini banyak orang yang iseng memanfaatkan kelemahan dari browser internet untuk berbuat jahil, oleh karena itu sekarang banyak yang menganggap spyware adalah program jahat.

Sumber-sumber datangnya spyware bisa dari berbagai macam cara, salah satunya yaitu program removal, penginstall-an anti spyware palsu, internet file-sharing, iklan di internet, shareware dan freeware, e-mail attachment, hackers, dll.

Ini lho tandanya jika komputer Anda sudah terserang spyware..
  • Spyware mengirimkan data pada komputer pengguna ke pihak lain saat terhubung ke jaringan internet
  • Spyware memunculkan berbagai bentuk iklan yang tidak diinginkan, atau mengirimkan informasi pribadi tanpa sepengetahuan
  • Spyware juga bisa menyebabkan komputer berjalan lambat atau crash.
  • Komputer dapat di kendalikan oleh orang lain selain oleh si pemilik
  • Terjadi perubahan setting browser di mana user merasa tidak pernah mengubah atau menginstalnya.
  • Muncul iklan pop up setiap kali user terkoneksi dengan internet

Jika komputer Anda mengalami ciri-ciri seperti yang Saya sebutkan diatas, maka langkah untuk menanganinya adalah ;
  • ·         Menginstall dan menggunakan firewall.
  • ·         Up date secara berkala program anti spyware.
  • ·         Menginstall dan memutakhirkan antivirus.
  • ·         Menampilkan berkas tersembunyi (di komputer).
  • ·         Mematikan cookie pada browser
